In Japan, special activities "Tokkastsu" are included in the curriculum guidelines, in which each child is encouraged to make decisions about the solution of his or her own problems and to persistently putthese decisionsinto practice.(In Japan, these activities arecalledas "Classroom Activities (2)"; in Egypt, they are introduced under the name "Classroom instructions .")
The following are some of the activities that will help each child make decisions about solving his or her own problems persistently put these decisions into practice.
- Forming basic life habits
- Establishing better human relations
- Forming a healthy and safe lifestyle both physically and mentally
- Forming desirable eating habits according to a nutritional education perspective
- Forming motivation andattitude to live with hope and goals in the present and future
- Fostering awareness of social participation and understanding the significance of working
- Formation of independent learning attitude and utilization of school library, etc.
